Mandatory Non-Discrimination Training
The Office of Equal Opportunity provides non-discrimination training on an annual basis to all employees and student leaders at the VCU. This training provides background information, recent developments, and conduct expectations for VCU community members regarding protected class-based discrimination and harassment.
We also provide live or in-person training on an as-needed-or-requested basis, which can cover any of the following topics:
- Non-Discrimination
This is our Compliance 101 training, which would take the place of the online module through Vector Solutions and provide attendees credit for the biannual training requirement.
- Harassment Prevention and Workplace Conduct Expectations
For units who wish to have more frequent or specialized training, we can provide customized training sessions to help solidify prevention efforts and keep VCU’s conduct expectations top of mind.
- Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action
We provide training to ensure clarity regarding the interaction and synergy between the concepts of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action. This training is most beneficial for HR professionals, hiring committees, hiring managers, or those otherwise involved in VCU recruitment, hiring, and promotions processes.
