Title IX Staff Training
All VCU Title IX staff receive annual training about:
- domestic violence,
- dating violence,
- sexual assault, and
- Stalking.
They also receive training on how to conduct an investigation that protects the safety of all parties and promotes accountability, as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, as amended by the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013.
The U.S. Department of Education requires that the Title IX Coordinator and all deputy coordinators, investigators, decision-makers and informal resolution facilitators receive training specific to their role in the Title IX sexual harassment grievance process. To comply with the Title IX regulations, a list of all training taken from July 1, 2020, to present, is listed below.
